The Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic to Sweden, Mr. Andreas Fryganas and his wife Mrs Despoina Poulou, hosted in 24th of March, a reception at the Embassy’s residence, for the occasion of the celebration the Greek National Day of 25th of March.

The reception was attended by: representatives of the diplomatic corps in Sweden, -the Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus Mr. Savva, the Ambassador of Albania to Sweden Mr Virgjil Kule, the representative of the USA Embassy Mr. Spencer Moscati the Deputy Minister of European Affairs Christian Danielsson the member of the Swedish parliament Mr. Hans Wallmark

Ms. Charlotte Samelin, former ambassador of Sweden to Greece, and now Head of Department for International Trade and EU Single Market, representatives from the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs the vice president of the Municipality of Solna, Mr. Giorgos Kontorinis, the former member of the Swedish Parliament, Mr. Nikos Papadopoulos, Mr Dimitrios and Mrs Zoi Karkamanis the president of the Epirus region brotherhood Mr Fotios Tsallios representatives from the Swedish Hellenic Chamber of Commerce Academic’s, journalists, Swedish Philhellenes, and representatives of the Greek diaspora in Sweden.

Both Ambassador Fryganas, Mr. Danielsson and Mr. Wallmark in their speeches naturally referred first, to the anniversary of 25th of March, they praised the friendly relations between Greece and Sweden but also, they made special reference to Russia’s invasion in Ukraine and the strength of resistance of the Ukrainian people.
